Retirement
You would like to retire, but there may be potential business that comes in, and you would like to get a referral fee. You may want to sell your real estate practice to someone, and this is how you can get paid without being a member of the Association of REALTORS.
Timing
The timing is not right for you to be a full-time agent, and you might want to try again in the future. You may have entrepreneurial experience and spirit involved in other projects.
Slow Business
The last few years have been volatile, and your business has been slow. You can be licensed with Option Realty, Inc. and transfer back to an MLS company if you have upcoming transactions.
Health Issues
You or someone in your family has a health issue, and you need to prioritize your time differently.
Burnout
You had a rough year in real estate. Your clients and/or customers are starting to irritate you, and real estate is not fun anymore. You don’t want to put your license on ice with the state since you spent so much money, time, and effort on your real estate practice.
Sabbatical
You may want a break from real estate if you plan to travel or spend time in a different location and don’t want to pay monthly fees or MLS and REALTOR Association fees.
Relocation
You have moved short-term or long-term to another state. Since it is difficult to physically sell real estate if you don’t live in Minnesota, you can be paid by referring businesses worldwide that you generate after you have moved. Your clients will be taken care of.
Appraisers and Closers
You need a real estate license for employment but don’t represent real estate clients or belong to MLS.
Reinstatement
In Minnesota, if your license has been returned to the state (on ice), you have two years before it permanently goes inactive unless you renew it. If you don’t want that to happen, we can help.
Investors
If you invest in real estate, you can benefit from real estate brokerage fees as a limited function referral office (LFRO) agent. This is possible whether you are building your portfolio, buying, renovating, reselling, or do not need access to MLS.
Personal Transactions
If you are buying or selling your personal homestead or your investment property, you can benefit from the commissions generated from this transaction. We waive our portion of the brokerage fee on personal transactions.
New Licensees
You took your real estate exams and have passed, and you are not sure what you want to do with your license or haven’t chosen a broker yet. You can put your license with Option Realty, Inc. and take your time choosing a broker or deciding how to use your real estate license.
